Atlanta, GA – July 23, 2014 – zumBrunnen, Inc., an independent building consulting firm, is co-presenting an educational seminar at the 51st Annual LeadingAge Florida Convention & Exposition being held July 27 – July 31, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, FL. In addition to making a presentation, representatives from zumBrunnen will also be in booth 304 in the exposition area.

zumBrunnen will be co-presenting a session on the Leadership Track titled “Can We Afford Our Strategic Plan?” on Monday, July 28 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. Doug McMillan, PE, LEED AP, zumBrunnen’s Director of Project Management, will make the joint presentation with Sue Bunevich, a Principal with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP.

Can We Afford and Fund Our Strategic Plan? – Using Strategic Planning Tools:

The session will explore how financial advisors and engineers work with executive officers and board members to help senior living communities assess their facilities, create a strategic funding plan and develop and fund a capital improvement budget. Attendees will learn how to evaluate financial strength and their capacity to access capital, and how to model their capital capacity to fund their strategic plan and capital projects. The session will also explain how facility assessments and capital replacement funding puts them in a position to objectively model and validate a renovation, repositioning or replacement of a building or an entire facility.
