elder care alliance

Elder Care Alliance (ECA), a CA-based nonprofit with a 100+ year history of serving and enriching the lives of older adults, wanted to expand their communities and purchase The Villa at San Mateo. The signature senior community features 135 apartments on a 4.5-acre site. As a nonprofit, ECA was competing against for-profit organizations and was a long shot to win the coveted property. However, with creative financing solutions and a commitment to close within an incredibly tight 45-day window, ECA was selected as the buyer.

lcs communities

zumBrunnen prepared a Campus Wide FacilityForecast report for our community. The reports are informative and user-friendly. The FacilityForecast reports have streamlined our budget process.  Instead of reviewing the condition of all our assets, we focus our time on those assets forecasted to require replacement in the particular budget year.  We have also found the Annual Budget Totals Tables helpful in forecasting and prioritizing asset replacement and capital improvements. In our opinion, the most valuable aspect of the program is its simplicity; it is very user-friendly.”

the fletcher school

The Fletcher School, having operated for 20 years out of temporary/portable classrooms, raised the capital for a building program that would take them into the future. Between 2002 and 2009, they spent close to $15 million to construct 70,900 square feet of classroom and administrative space and build a large gym. After their building program was completed, they needed a system to identify future maintenance, replacements and upgrades required to keep up the facilities and a plan to set aside sufficient funds each year to pay for them.
