Erik Triebes ZumBrunnen

We at zumBrunnen are pleased to welcome Erik Triebes as our newest Senior Project Manager.

Erik brings nearly 20 years of construction management experience across senior living, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, institutional, and commercial markets. His background includes work in both preconstruction and field operations, giving him the kind of broad project perspective that is especially valuable for owners, operators, lenders, and development teams managing complex facilities.

We believe that range of experience matters.

At zumBrunnen, our work often sits at the intersection of construction, capital planning, due diligence, and long-term asset management. Clients don’t simply need someone who understands drawings, schedules, and cost estimates. They need someone who can look at a building or project and understand how decisions made today may affect performance, budgets, operations, and risk years down the road.

Erik’s career has prepared him well for that kind of work.

He has held leadership roles with nationally recognized construction firms including Clayco, Weis Builders, and Gerding Builders. Throughout those roles, he has been involved in budgeting, estimating, subcontractor procurement, scheduling, quality control, constructability review, owner coordination, and project execution from early planning through closeout.

That practical background gives Erik a strong understanding of what it takes to move a project from concept to completion while balancing cost, quality, schedule, and owner expectations. He has worked directly with architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, and project teams, which gives him the ability to communicate clearly across disciplines and recognize potential issues before they become larger problems.

Erik also brings a strong preconstruction background, which is particularly valuable in today’s market. Construction costs remain volatile, financing conditions are more selective, and owners are under increasing pressure to understand the true cost of both new development and existing building reinvestment. In that environment, early review, clear documentation, realistic scheduling, and thoughtful cost planning are no longer just good practices. They’re essential.

His experience with design-build coordination, MEP coordination, value engineering, bid package review, scope analysis, and contractor communication will support zumBrunnen’s continued work in Property Condition Assessments, Capital Reserve Analyses, Pre-Construction Document Reviews, and Construction Monitoring.

Just as importantly, Erik understands that buildings are more than construction projects. They are long-term assets that must serve residents, staff, investors, owners, and communities over time.

That perspective fits well with zumBrunnen’s approach.

For more than 35 years, our role has been to help clients make better decisions by giving them clear, objective information about the physical condition of their buildings and the risks associated with future capital needs. Erik’s background strengthens that mission and expands the depth of experience available to our clients.

We’re excited to have Erik on the team and look forward to the value he’ll bring to our clients, our projects, and the communities we serve.
